The consultants of DSCA take pride in building strong ties in the communities we serve. As a result, DSCA has two community initiatives that keep us focused on the importance of true service.

Eileen Harris Pennick Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is given by DSCA each year in honor of Eileen Harris Pennick, an educator and community activist from the island of St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands. After her transition in 2008, the Pennick family honored her memory in 2009 by providing a scholarship to a Virgin Island’s graduating senior, Yannick John, who served her community with distinction.

The scholarship is open to graduating seniors who have been accepted to an accredited college or university AND who have shown exceptional dedication to their community through service and activism.

Community Organizational Grant. Each year DSCA executives choose a community organization to receive 6 months of free DSCA services in an effort to continue to strengthen the sustainable organizations that are serving communities in need. Applications for the 2013 cycle will open in October 2012.
